John Shea (American, b. 1989) in an American ceramic artist currently based in Baltimore, Maryland. Shea’s abstract sculptures that take a dual lens view as to what constitutes an object, in his own words, “looking at an object as composed of individual elements as well as a set of relationships that inform those objects.” Shea creates abstract compositions built up from individual elements, some geometric in shape, others organic in form.
