OUR TAKE

“Vincent’s training as an architect allows him to deftly straddle the line between function and art and his willingness to go beyond expected material combinations, forms and techniques has created a signature language evident throughout his work."

  • his latest work is a sculpture cleft from a  100’ Aspen tree as part of Buffalo Creek Art Center residency
  • Vincent was part of the recent Everyday is Sunday show at UTA Artist Space
  • currently he's working on a second collaboration with rapper Tyler the Creator

Vincent Pocsik is an American artist who lives and works in Los Angeles where he operates the studio he opened after completing graduate school for architecture at Southern California Institute of Architecture.

His work balances old and new fabrication techniques to breathe new life into materials while holding onto the richness of the past. This process is influenced by the desire to push the formal boundaries of media such as wood, glass and metal so each work transforms into an anatomical expression and presence of its own.

In 2019 Pocsik created brand kiscop to define the design side of his practice. See this profile page here on Source.
