Steve Nanz and Carl Sorenson founded The NANZ Company over 30 years ago, initially as a hardware restoration firm focussing on Upper East Side Pre-War projects. Having seen the wonderful work of architects like Rosario Candela, Mott Schmidt and James Carpenter, and others, the two grew interested in creating their own hardware designs. Training a team of talented artisans to help them on their quest, the founders grew the Company to over 150 employees with locations throughout the United States and Europe.
As experts in fabricating using the lost wax casting method, the team can make virtually any type of hardware or plumbing fitting in brass or bronze and can produce an infinite number of finishes. They also are well versed in glass, leather, wood and ceramic materials and have integrated numerous materials into custom designs for residential, hospitality and nautical projects. . Working closely with a talented group of architects and designers the Company has developed hundreds of custom proprietary designs. The deep stable of highly trained craftsmen continue to develop the company's own range of exclusive products.
Nanz recently began their 50,000th project and is always looking for the next opportunity to collaborate and expand their talents and their clients' vision.
